Rachel Eakins, owner of Art in Bloom has over 20 years experience in art and design. Manager of the floral department at the Highlands Inn in Carmel, CA for 5 years, she also owned Blooms by the Sea floral design for more than 10 years on the Monterey coast. Rachel attended the School of Floral Art & Design in the Netherlands and has completed design workshops with well known European designers and Dutch schoolmasters. Her studies also include classes with educators from the College of San Mateo and San Francisco City College. She has continued her education by attending floral symposiums in Boston, Palm Springs, San Francisco, Dallas, San Diego and Chicago. Rachel is passionate about her work which displays an innovative and progressive style as her distinct signature in her designs. She creates her innovative living art in her private design studio. Free from the distractions of running a retail storefront she is able to fully concentrate solely on her clients. She is also available to travel for special events.
